Thomas Armerding has been managing the HANSA‑FLEX company since the mid 1990s. A banker by trade, he is the son of the company’s founder, Joachim Armerding. He joined the company as a trainee in 1986 and has worked in all departments at the Bremen headquarters. In 1989 he was appointed branch manager in Oldenburg. He then became a managing director together with Uwe Buschmann in 1994. The establishment and expansion of HANSA‑FLEX on the international stage is largely due to his initiative.

The history of the Albrecht family is closely connected with HANSA-FLEX. “My father was a civil servant at Deutsche Post and knew Joachim Armerding from school. Many years later, he met him again at a class reunion and started at HANSA-FLEX in 1979,” Albrecht says. His brother Axel also joined the company. Together, the father-and-son team built up branches and drove the expansion eastward. This led to the creation of HANSA-FLEX Hydraulik GmbH, which covers Austria as well as Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, and the United Arab Emirates. At the end of the 1990s, Jürgen Albrecht also joined HANSA-FLEX and became Managing Director of HANSA-FLEX Hydraulik GmbH in 2000. He also oversees business activities in Italy, England, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
